Slated to fight Jandiroba
Godinez will fight Virna Jandiroba at a UFC event scheduled for March 30, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
After finishing 2023 with a perfect 4-0 record, Godinez will look to keep her hot streak going against an opponent who has fought (and won) just twice in the past two years.

Picks up fourth win of 2023
Godinez defeated Tabatha Ricci via split decision (27-30, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 295 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
Godinez becomes the first female fighter in the history of the UFC to win four fights in a calendar year. It was another strong performance, and thankfully the one ridiculous scorecard submitted by judge Bryan Miner didn't cost Loopy a well-deserved victory. Godinez led the dance and pushed the pace the entire fight. She got clipped with a couple big shots by Ricci, which she didn't handle particularly well, but quickly recovered and got right back on the offense. Stuffing all six of Ricci's takedown attempts certainly helped matters. Only three of Godinez's dozen career wins have come via stoppage, and it's fair to wonder if that will be an issue down the line, but it's impossible to argue with the results to date, at least in 2023.

Next bout scheduled
Godinez will face off against Tabatha Ricci at UFC 295 on Nov. 11, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Godinez has won her last three fights, most recently taking down Elise Reed on Sept. 16. The 30-year-old Mexican fighter, who is 6-3 during her time with the UFC, will look to defeat another streaking fighter, Tabatha Ricci, in November.

Cruises to third straight win
Godinez defeated Elise Reed via submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:38 of Round 2 at Noche UFC on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Credit Godinez for playing to both her greatest strength while exploiting Reed's greatest weakness. Sure, she could have engaged in a brawl with her opponent and still likely have won, but she instead took the safest path to victory, overwhelming Reed with her grappling skills. "Loopy" landed all five of her takedown attempts, good for 6:29 worth of control time. Two extremely deep Round 1 armbars somehow didn't get Reed out of there, but the the rear-naked choke in the latter stages of Round 2 did the trick and earned her a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. Godinez has won three straight and five of six dating back to November 2021.

Now taking on Reed
Godinez will now fight Elise Reed at Noche UFC on Sept. 16, ESPN's Carlos Contreras Legaspi reports.
ANALYSIS
Godinez is 5-3 in the UFC and will be looking for her third straight win. Godinez was originally scheduled to fight Sam Hughes, but she'll have her hands full with Reed who is currently 3-3 in the UFC and coming off a strong win over Jihn Yu Frey.
